This set of software is very easy to use. You just put it in the drive and it runs! No need to go through any installation procedures.

There is one CD for each KS2 Yr Group. Each CD has over 200 different activities for the children to choose from. The Yr 5 sample we reviewed had 241. Each was relatively short to complete and straightforward in layout. The menu is easy to navigate and the children can choose what it is they need to practise.

In the Yr 5 version the activities range from identifying numbers on a grid to classifying in a Carroll or Venn diagram. The teacher can restrict which sections they want to be explored and records are kept automatically. You can also change the facial characteristics of the ‘interface character’ (the boy or girl who praises the children’s efforts). Certificates can be printed off, showing which section has been completed and scores achieved.

The ability level would suit the middle and top range, with the ability to use the CDs from other years if necessary. The instant feedback was enjoyed by our Yr6 researchers!
